What to keep in mind when changing tires: Having winter and summer tires installed

The most common reason for having tires changed is to install summer and winter tires.

Keep in mind that winter tires should be replaced after 8 years at the latest, summer tires after 8 to 10 years at most, and all-season tires approximately every 8 years; additionally, you should rotate your tires once a year (swapping tires from front to rear and vice versa).

Generally, the tread depth of the tires is the deciding factor when purchasing new ones. Winter tires should be replaced when the tread depth reaches 4 mm, and summer tires when it reaches 3 mm.

Tires can be driven down to 1.6 millimeters. Other factors that significantly affect tire life include tire pressure, mileage, tire width, and wheel alignment.

We also recommend having your tires checked regularly for optimal air pressure and potential damage. In addition, we repair and replace tires. We perform this work with a trained eye and state-of-the-art technology.
